THE BRITISH TRADITION OF AFTERNOON TEA IN MELBOURNE

High Tea was traditionally an early evening meal - a supper of sorts - enjoyed in the late evening. Afternoon Tea however, is enjoyed in the afternoon: an assortment of sandwiches, scones and delectable desserts, had naturally, with tea.

A 140 Year Tradition

High Tea places are abound in Melbourne, but The Windsor is the only place to hold the distinction of 140 years of Afternoon Tea service.

We have hosted generations of families in our beautiful historic dining room, and welcome celebrations - from birthdays to bridal showers, baby showers and wedding anniversaries.

Afternoon Tea at The Windsor is served on two silver stands - one of ribbon sandwiches and savouries, and the other of delectable desserts, scones and housemade jam - all made in our pastry kitchens in the morning.

To complement this, we include a flute of sparkling wine or Champagne, and the opportunity to savour several of our specialty teas.


DAYS OF SERVICEAfternoon Tea is held from midday to 4.30pm, Wednesday to Sunday, and every day of the school holidays.

PRICE: From $89 on weekdays & from $109 on weekends. Children and senior pricing is available.

Booking Information

BOOKINGS
Afternoon Tea sittings are for a duration of two hours and open 90 days in advance. Reservations are recommended.

DIETARY REQUESTS
We offer a vegetarian afternoon tea, vegan afternoon tea, gluten free afternoon tea, and tailor stands for pregnant guests. For other dietary requirements, please contact Reservations on 03 9633 6002. Please note that dietary requests must be advised at the time of booking, and that we are unable to accommodate menu changes on the day.

PAYMENT
Credit card details are required to confirm your booking with payment taken on the day. A credit card processing fee of 1.3% (MasterCard and Visa) or 1.76% (American Express) applies.

CANCELLATION & CHANGES
We understand that plans may change. Please advise us of any changes or cancellations 48 hours prior to your reservation. In the event of a late cancellation or no-show, a $50 fee per guest applies. This will be charged to the credit card provided at time of booking.

PARKING
The closest car park is at 34-60 Little Collins Street. We also offer a self parking service for $30. Booking is not required for self parking; please drive up to our entrance and speak with our Concierge who will guide you to the carpark.

GIFT CERTIFICATES
Congratulations on receiving a gift to our Afternoon Tea! Please let us know at the time of booking that you are claiming your gift certificate.

Please note that we will request your credit card details at the time of reservation as per our cancellation policy. Should you not wish to leave your credit card with us, please be advised that in the event of a no-show or cancellation within a 48-hour window, the cancellation fee will be deducted from the amount on your gift certificate, and your gift certificate may be forfeited should the amount to cover the cancellation fee be insufficient.
